Our Mentor's Profiles
Darrin Romaguera has been the Senior healer since March 2012. He takes great care in making ODC a warm and authentic church. He has a common sense teaching style that really reaches people and helps them through their personal struggles.
Before coming to Bakersfield, Darrin spent 14 years on the staff at First Visalia, California. While there he completed his Doctor of Ministry focusing on helping families in crisis to avoid divorce and learn how to build a strong marriage and family.
Arthur McCullough is our Associate Pastor of Life Development and Outreach. He also brings a new twist to our sermon series with his “entertaining” style. Unique outreach opportunities sure seem to get Arthur excited as he likes new ways of doing things.
God has uniquely gifted Paul as fun-loving and action-driven. “If its dangerous I love it. In fact, I applied for this job with a broken shoulder blade from a little dirt bike accident.” He also believes in making God very practical to those he works with. Arthur and his wife Sheryl have two wonderful children: Sarah and Ben.
Luther Lang oversees the School. He leads with vision and passion in the design and execution of each ministry he is involved with! Luther Lang operates with the mentality of “how can we make it better” in everything he does.
Luther and his wife came to ODC from Irvine, California. They were married in 2014 and moved to Bakersfield in 2016. They are very proud parents of their first child, Noah, who was born in Feruary of 2015.
Christa Veum has a passion for children, and is the newest staff. She graduated in 1992 from Heritage College in El Cajon, California with a degree in Elementary Education. After teaching elementary school in Northern California for many years, Christa made the move to become completely involved and dedicated to Children.
Christa oversees a large volunteer staff as well as organizes speacial events for the children of ODC. Praise and Worship Camp, and the Kids Choir just to name a few.
Eddie Lubowitz brings a rich background to us where he first began in 2011. He “retired” in 2019, but has stayed connected and now rejoices in helping new people getting connected.
After receiving his masters degree in physics, he and his wife Billie moved to California where he worked as an aerospace scientist in the Stanford community and occasionally taught at the junior college level. Eddie and Billie have two sons, 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
